Entertaiment is the entertainment industry which is focused on making people laugh and feel good about themselves. It can be as small as a single person choosing a form of private entertainment from the vast array of available pre-recorded products; to a banquet adapted for two, complete with music and dance; or a theatrical performance for thousands. Entertainment is a diverse and evolving form of art, often with the capacity to transcend different media. Many entertainments also serve a more serious purpose, such as ceremonies, religious festivals, and acts of satire.
Entertainment can be broadly categorized into several categories, such as Movies and Television, Music, Books and Literature, Sports and Games, Dance and Theatre, and Visual Arts. It is important to note that entertainment hits on the very points the brain was shaped to react to deeply, in order to understand our world and function in it.
